SAMPLE CHORD CHARTS

These jazz chord charts are abbreviated for my personal use. For example the “A” and “B” sections are not marked, instead a short vertical line is used to separate the “A” and “B” sections. The letter “S” stands for same as above. A comma “,” means repeat the same chord. Note how compact these charts are. “2nd” means 2nd ending. A slash “/” between symbols means that these chords all go in one measure. A symbol in brackets “[ ]” means its an optional chord. Note that you can fit many charts on one page – a much more efficient system. Being a wind player I usually delete related chords for simplicity.
